Scholar conductors program

The Scholar Conductors program is for enthusiastic high school students who would like to try conducting in a supportive environment.  Instigated by Panula, it is based on the view that the younger the talent is uncovered the smoother the journey towards world-class excellence.  On occasion, the Scholars program has led to participation in the Core Conductors program and past participants have gone on to study conducting at Juilliard and the Royal Northern College of Music, Manchester.

Written applications are submitted each year from Australian schools and directed to Christopher Seaman.  A successful applicant is generally someone who can demonstrate a sense of leadership and would be currently members of their school orchestra, band or choir.
